2-1-1 On the Go! is a mobile outreach pilot program through the United Way for Southeastern Michigan (UWSEM) which works to put motivated homeless individuals into full-time employment and permanent housing. Using the resources of the 2-1-1 call center (in a mobile format), which provides extensive information and referrals to agencies that offer services to those in need, as well as relationships with community partners and volunteers, 2-1-1 On the Go! is opening doors for the homeless that might otherwise be shut, and working to give them opportunities to succeed in life.
